So... I asked Amber to marry me on Wednesday night... and she said yes :D (on a side note, sorry for not posting sooner, I was not able to sit a computer for any length of time other than at work for the last 36 hours).
Amber tells the story way better than I do, but I'll see what I can do.
I picked her up at about 7:00 (showed up in a tux) and gave her a bouquet of a dozen red roses. I knew she was surprised by the tux, but she was even more surprised when she walked out and our chauffeur opened the door to our limo :)
After that we drove around for a little while and then went to dinner at a place that charged an exorbitant amounts of money for food, but it was ok because it was pretty much some of the best food I've ever had. Ever. Dinner was going well, but near the end I had eaten too much (sooooo good) on an already extremely nervous stomach, so I was feeling pretty nauseous at the time. I'm sure it was actually getting pretty awkward, but oh well. After dinner I took her to the main grounds of the University of Virginia where there are these public gardens. They are walled off however, so even though anyone can go in them, they are pretty private. I had some friends from church light up the path with candles and put rose petals on the ground and it looked great. I took her down the path of candles into a large circle of candles and got down on one knee and she said yes! After that we our friends Zach and Lauren that had put up all the candles came out and we took pictures and whatnot.
She thought the night was over after that, but I had one more trick up my sleeve - I had collaborated with her roommate to get all of our good friends from the law school together for a surprise party at her place. We had originally planned to get them there without knowing why they were there, but they kinda picked up on stuff (one of them spotted the limo) and so they all dressed nice and it was the perfect end to the evening!
Yes, I have plenty of pictures:
I love this shot.
I realize y'all don't know these people, but they are all our close friends here in Charlottesville.
Close up shots of the ring.

Daniel gave me permission to sneak over and read his engagement post - he actually did a very good job of describing it. He did such a great job on the proposal and the ring - I'm very lucky and VERY happy!
Alright, no more lurking by fiancees (I think the weirdest part of all this is calling Daniel my fiance - that will take some getting used to!).
