alright, i just saw something on tv and i'm aching to talk to somebody about it. my family is not interested right now.
cspan just broadcast something that made me feel really weird... it was barack obama giving a father's day sermon. he was standing at a pulpit talking to cameras and wearing an american flag pin.
does it make sense that this seems wrong? giving an extremely public sermon while you're running for president? i mean, i guess i'm supposed to be excited that he's a christian, and maybe he's still trying to demonstrate to people that he isn't muslim, but doesn't it seem a little inappropriate? they're calling it a "speech" instead of a "sermon"... should a presidential nominee be giving a sermon that's broadcast over cspan?
i guess there's no way to know for sure what his motivation is, and any doubt would be the product of my own feeling of disenfranchisement.
what do you guys think?
